Principal's Bio

Principal Sinclair

I am entering my third year at SFMS as principal and my 16th year as an educator in Alabama. Although my father was an officer in the United States Air Force and we moved around while I was young, I spent most of my life growing up in Alexandria, Louisiana. I moved to Mobile after graduating from Bolton High School and attended the University of South Alabama.

I began my career as a teacher at Baker High School in Mobile County. I was hired at Gulf Shores High School and taught two more years before moving into administration after receiving my Master's Degree from South Alabama. During that span of time I taught special education, middle school social studies, and a variety of high school social studies classes. I also coached football, baseball, and track. I became an administrative intern at Gulf Shores High School and Delta Elementary before being hired as an assistant principal at Daphne High School. Four years later I transferred to Robertsdale Elementary and Foley Intermediate as an itinerant assistant principal. The following year I was a full time assistant principal at Foley Intermediate until I transferred to Fairhope Intermediate School. I spent two weeks there when I was appointed as the interim principal of Spanish Fort Middle School.

That Spring I applied for the principalship and continue to serve as principal of Spanish Fort Middle School today. The faculty and staff, parents, and especially the students have made my transition as their principal an extremely easy one.

I am married with two children. My wife is also employed by the Baldwin County Board of Education. My sons attend Rockwell Elementary and we reside in Spanish Fort. Transitioning to Spanish Fort has been a blessing for us and we look forward to being part of this community in the future.

I have been a Hornet, a Dolphin, a Gator, a Trojan, a Bear, a Lion, and a Pirate and they were all wonderful experiences. However, there's nothing like being a toro. I am both excited and proud to be your principal.

Go toros!
